Library system / Prices

Prices for the CSS Library System are as follows:

Site licence
The cost of one site licence for the CSS Library System is £350. This is for one site licence and allows one PC to use the system.

Computer licence
Each additional computer using the system at the same location would cost £100 per machine.

Sample pricing
1 computer using the system at 1 site. Cost: £350
2 computers using the system at 1 site. Cost: £450
5 computers using the system at 1 site. Cost: £350 + £400 = £750
2 sites each with 2 computers using the system. Cost: £700 + £200 = £900
4 sites each with 2 computers using the system. Cost: £1400 + £400 = £1800

Web interface
This web interface is optional and costs an additional £250. You can see an example of the web interface at http://www.jameswatt.ac.uk/library/catalogue.aspx. The web interface is primarily for students to search for books and to check if they are available or on loan. Please note that you require an internal web server to provide the web interface.

Data transfer
The cost for transfer of data from an existing database is £250. Please note however this cost may vary depending on the system you are currently using and the format of the data.

Support
The sale of the system includes 3 months support at no extra cost. After this period, support costs £35 per hour plus VAT. Support is offered during normal office hours: Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays and annual holidays.
